[Iindaba - CPSA] The diocesan magazine of the Diocese of Port Elizabeth reports on another idea to mark the dawn of a new millennium: that for 24 hours no guns are fired anywhere on Earth, including on television.
The concept of a complete ceasefire on 1st January 2000 for everyone who may have been at war in December 1999 would lead to a golden silence. This would be further strengthened if the television programmers agreed not to air programmes with a violent content.
At the moment this One Day In Peace is just an idea, but if enough people spread the concept it just might become reality. Pass it on!
