In Response to the September 11th tragedy, GraceCom Media Ministry and the Episcopal Cathedral Teleconferencing Network (ECTN), present Trinity Institute's 33rd National Conference as a special live webcast and satellite downlink, "How Then Must We Live?"

Just 600 feet from the former site of the World Trade Center, Trinity Institute - Trinity Church Wall Street's pioneering theological continuing education program - will present five extraordinary men and women, all of whom have their finger on the pulse of contemporary American spirituality.

From the other side of the country in San Francisco, California, GraceCom Media Ministry of Grace Cathedral will produce the live video webcast for this conference, allowing the virtual community the opportunity to tune in to this truly momentous event. This video webcast will be broadcast live on 5 and 6 April and will be available at GraceCathedral.org and ECTN.org.

The line-up of speakers in order of appearance are:

  • Phyllis Tickle - Contributing Editor in religion for Publishers Weekly and the author of two dozen books. She has been featured in sources like Newsweek, Time, Life and The New York Times, and is considered an authority on religion and spirituality in contemporary America.
  • Parker Palmer - a writer, teacher and activist who works independently on issues in education, spirituality and social change. The author of six highly acclaimed books, he travels widely giving workshops, lectures and retreats.
  • Sharon Daloz Parks - a writer and educator who shares a wealth of practical experience gained from thirty years of working with young adults. She is also the Associate Director of the Widbey Institute in Washington.
  • André Delbecq - an educator who is also the Founder and Director of the Institute for Spirituality of Organizational Leadership. He has a scholarly record in three fields: executive decision making, organisation design, and managing innovation.
  • Roberta Bondi - a Professor of Church History at the Candler School of Theology at Emory University in Atlanta, specialising in the literature of the early church's monastic tradition. She is the author of nine books.
