The decision taken by the Anglican Communion Office to suspend the publication of Anglican Episcopal World because of its cost has posed new challenges for the Family Network.

While making every use of electronic communication and now posting the pictures as well as the text of the newsletters on the web, the Management Committee are clear about the importance of the printed version of the newsletters. These can be made available to those who do not have easy access to the web and can be handed round and displayed in churches, diocesan offices and theological colleges.

Work is now underway on building up a targeted mailing list of those who wish to receive the printed copies. At the Lambeth Conference, a sizeable number of Bishops and their Spouses asked to be sent these and suggested the names of people working in family ministries who might also benefit from the newsletters and possibly contribute to future issues.

An additional number of copies of the current newsletter Investing in Childhood have been printed and are being circulated widely to people who have previously had contact with the Network, asking them to give their names and addresses to the Network office if they wish to continue to receive the printed IAFN newsletters on a regular basis.

Work is now starting on the next newsletter which is on the theme of Valuing Our Elders.
