Attack on Ahmadi mosques in Pakistan condemned by Bishop of Lahore

The savage attack on two Ahmadi mosques in Lahore Pakistan has been condemned by Rt Revd Alexander Malik, Bishop of Lahore in the Church of Pakistan (a United Church which is a member Church of the Anglican Communion).

The attacks took place on Friday 28 May in the context of Friday midday prayers, resulting in considerable loss of life. Bishop Malik condemned the 'murderous attacks' on the 'worship places of a minority community.' he added, 'Such terrorism is a heinous crime against humanity and a serious conspiracy against Pakistan... We, as a nation, should unite together to defend our beloved country Pakistan and the defeat of all kinds of terrorism.' The bishop prayed for the comfort and consolation of all the bereaved, and for the peace of Pakistan.
