The first issue of the NIFCON Christian-Muslim digest for 2011 looks at recent events in Egypt, and how Christians and Muslims have united in a common cause; it also explores the repercussions of a blasphemy case in Indonesia, the referendum in Southern Sudan and a new report from the Pew Forum, ‘The Future of the Global Muslim Population’.

There are also two pieces on Pakistan; one is a reflective piece by Rana Khan, International Inter Faith Dialogues Assistant for the Anglican Communion Office, on the current situation in Pakistan, written before the killing of Shahbaz Bhatti, Minister for Minority Affairs in the government of Pakistan; the other is a report on the media response to that killing.
