Every year, the Anglican Diocese of Sabah invites a few thousand youths to attend English, Chinese and Bahasa Malaysia Diocesan Youth camps to provide enriching experiences for them, thus making a deep impact in Sabah’s society.

This year, 700 participants attended the Chinese camp, 300 attended the English camp and 2,300 attended the Bahasa Malaysia camp.

Deputy Chief Minister cum state Industrial Development Minister Datuk Raymond Tan Shu Kiah officiated the Diocesan Chinese Youth Camp June 2013 held at The Church of The Good Shepherd Sandakan this month.

Speaking at the ceremony, Raymond said the youth camps provided an opportunity for young people to showcase their unique talents and capabilities, and to exercise leadership abilities.

“Through various programmes, the youths are able to enhance or discover skills, talents, creativity and intelligence."
