Anglers heading out onto the ice of Lake Simcoe will now have a little more than luck on their side.
Joined by Trent Durham Bishop Linda Nicholls and close to 20 parishioners and well-wishers, St. Paul’s Anglican Church opened a chapel on the ice Tuesday (February 4) at the Beaverton Harbour.
“It’s a place where people can pray before they go out and give thanks when they return,” said Revd Canon Ted McCollum of St. Paul’s Anglican Church, Beaverton.
