In the last week of January, Bishop Mouneer visited St. George’s Church in Tunis and Holy Trinity Church in Algiers.

St. George’s, Tunis

Bishop Mouneer writes “The Holy Spirit works in an amazing way in our Anglican Church in Tunis. Young people see Jesus in visions and dreams. With open hearts they come to Him being ready to pay the cost. They long to know Christ and go to the depth of His knowledge. They enjoy praise and worship.

Bishop Bill [Musk] and his wife Hilary lead the team of ministers by setting a good example and with rich grace. They encourage young people to lead and teach. The wonderful thing is that the congregation give generously and with joy. They always think of the next generation. That is why the ministry expanded to a new place. O Lord bless your church, protect her from every evil, and send workers to help.”

Pray for Bishop Bill and Hilary Musk, the clergy, and the congregations of St George’s as they develop the ‘Legacy Project.’ This project seeks to make long-term difference for the development and maturing of the church in North Africa, through training indigenous leadership, and serving the poor community where the church is located. They are very thankful to God and to many in the congregation and beyond who have helped raised $200,000 for this project, which includes building new facilities on the grounds of St. George’s Tunis. The church are now in the process of applying for building permissions and the detailed architectural drawings.

Holy Trinity, Algiers

Bishop Mouneer writes of his time at Holy Trinity Church in Algiers, “I thank God for the church in Algiers and for the Revd Hamdy Daoud who works very hard and serve with love . He is so loved by every one. I was encouraged today by the services in the church. It started at 8am and ended at 3pm. Bible study, prayer, holy communion and youth meetings one after the other. O Lord bless your church and protect it.”
