Synod evacuated as fire destroys cathedral and diocesan centre

The Umzimvubu diocese’s Glenthorne Centre, in South Africa’s Eastern Cape, was destroyed by fire on Saturday as diocesan Synod members concluded their budget-setting meeting in the building.
