All the parishes in the Diocese of Canterbury have been invited to the Cathedral for a day to celebrate links with Christians overseas, especially in the Third World.

The Cathedral community and the wider diocesan family welcomed Archbishop Rowan Williams and his family for the first time in two separate celebrations on Sunday 2 March. Archbishop Rowan was celebrant and preacher at both services.

A figure of Christ has been torn from an 8ft wooden cross outside the parish church of St Michael and All Angels at Cottingley, near Bradford, West Yorks. It was found lying face down in mud, with one arm broken and its side slashed with a blade. There had also been an attempt to burn the resin figure.
