The Eighth Assembly of The World Council of Religions for Peace took place in Kyoto between August 26 and 29th. Forty Anglicans attended the event .A report based on three of the delegates' accounts is due to be published in Anglican Episcopal World.

To promote peace and harmony among different religions residing in the North West Frontier Province (NWFP) of Pakistan, a daylong Interfaith Coordination Conference was held in Peshawar organized by the Faith Friends NWFP chapter of the World Council of Religions.

Clare Amos, NIFCON Co-ordinator attended this year's Journees D'Arras conference in Belgium. The ecumenical gathering considered how issues of religion and state also impact on Muslims and other faith groups as the demographic of Europe changes.

The Rt Revd William Waqo, Provincial Secretary of the Anglican Church of Kenya and Personal Assistant to Archbishop Benjamin Nzimbi, died in a plane crash yesterday Monday 10th April 2006 while on a peace mission to the north-eastern part of the country. He was also an Assistant Bishop of Kirinyaga Diocese.

The Bishop of Croydon travelled to Kazakhstan for the Second Meeting of the Secretariat in Turkestan (11-14 October 2004). The purpose of this meeting of the Secretariat was to set the terms, direction and content for the Congress in Astana in 2006.

The Anglican - al-Azhar al-Sharif Joint Committee for dialogue met in Cairo 8-9 September 2004 and issued the following communique. On the Anglican side the dialogue was administered on behalf of the Archbishop of Canterbury's office by the Network for Inter faith Concerns of the Anglican Communion (NIFCON)
