The Archbishop of Canterbury, the Most Revd Rowan Williams has officially announced the Lambeth Conference dates in an Advent Letter to the 38 primates around the world. Archbishop Williams, at whose invitation the bishops come to the Conference, outlined his hopes for this global meeting of Anglican bishops.

The Archbishop of Canterbury, Dr Rowan Williams, is to visit Pakistan next week at what he says is a highly important period for the country. 'This is a crucial time to be visiting Pakistan. I know that there are many concerns about those who may have survived the recent earthquake but whose future is still threatened by the onset of extremely cold weather conditions'.

The new Anglican Old Catholic International Co-ordinating Council (AOCICC) met between 7th - 10th November, 2005, at Haus Bruchmatt, Lucerne, Switzerland under the co-chairmanship of the Right Revd Jonathan Gledhill, Bishop of Lichfield, and the Right Revd Fritz-Rene Muller, Bishop of Switzerland.
