While it may walk a little slowly, the Church is working on missionary transformation, according to leaders from the Anglican Episcopal Church of Brazil (IEAB). The statement was made April 10 at the end of a meeting to evaluate the Decade of Evangelism which will end in year 2001. The meeting brought together more than 70 Church leaders from the seven dioceses of Brazil.

The Diocese of Eau Claire in ECUSA has established an agreement for prayer and fellowship with the Old Catholic Diocese of Germany, the first such agreement between Episcopal and Old Catholic dioceses.

As part of a "pure evangelistic undertaking", the Diocese of Connecticut is distributing small wooden crosses made by Christian Palestinians from olive wood. According to Alinda Stanley, chair of the diocese's evangelism committee, "the crosses have filled a great need here in Connecticut, to provide a simple, powerful tool for Episcopalians to witness to the power of Christ's love for the world."

All 30 dioceses of the Anglican Church of Canada have met or exceeded amounts they had agreed to pay in 1996 to help finance national ministry and mission. Seven dioceses actually paid more to the apportionment, or program, part of the budget than they had originally committed themselves to. Additional payments were made by the dioceses of Eastern Newfoundland and Labrador, Quebec, Huron, Niagara, Ontario, Toronto and Edmonton.
